BRIGHT HORIZONS

Bright Horizons in Scotland fully complies with the requirements of The Scottish Government’s A Curriculum for Excellence and the Birth to Three Supporting Our Youngest Children guidance.

All of our centres in Scotland are registered and inspected for care by The Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care (the Care Commission) and Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Education (HMIe). The Care Commission regulates services by inspecting them against the National Care Standards. HMIe conduct regular joint inspections of centres with the Care Commission. All inspection reports are published on the Care Commission and HMIe websites. At Bright Horizons we regard these standards not just as an end goal but as a starting point for providing the highest quality early care and education in Scotland.

Bright Horizons Cramond Nursery will be at the fair on the day to give you further information.

NIPPERS

'Nippers' is a children's clothing company based in Edinburgh, Scotland. Its owner Karen Mackay started the company in 1987, coinciding with the birth of her first child, which was when she realised that there was a gap in the market for designer childrenswear at non designer prices.

Initially Karen produced a few designs using fabric found in local shops,working from home on a borrowed machine. These designs sold to friends and then via local craft fairs.

Although she no longer has to borrow a sewing machine the original ethos still stands - to design, manufacture and supply designer childrenswear at affordable prices.

Fabric is sourced worldwide with special care and attention being paid to durability and design.

Nippers has its own retail outlet in Edinburgh where you can browse through their selection of childrenswear with collections from;

Bob & Blossom, Oh Baby London, No Added Sugar, Green Baby, Bonnie Baby, Starchild, Earth Friendly Baby Toiletries and of course 'Nippers' own label.

Nippers will be bringing along their £10 clearance rail & £5 clearance rail.  They will also have a selection of drible bibs, finger puppets, badges, sunhats & blankets.  They will also have a selection of printed suits ie wee scone, wee man, wee brother, wee sister and Big Sister & Big Brother T-shirts.

MONKEY MUSIC

Monkey Music introduces music to very young children in a way they can easily understand and enjoy.

Monkey Music was founded in London in 1993 by Angie Davies, who was inspired to develop the classes for her first newborn baby daughter.

As a trained classical musician and experienced teacher, Angie was aware that all babies have an innate love of music and as a keen new mum she looked for local music classes to attend.

Finding a lack of classes in the appropriate age group, she decided to write an original music curriculum that was fun and interactive for everyone!

Monkey Music classes are now a weekly ritual for thousands of young children and families.
